SHSAT PREP COURSE
The Spring/Fall Comprehensive course is a thirteen-week course that begins in the spring of students’ 7th grade year and extends through the fall of their 8th grade year, concluding right in time for the exam. This course is appropriate for students who are just beginning to prepare as well as for those who took our winter course. The comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation to master the SHSAT. We go beyond the introduction to the material and really zero in on the most challenging content, providing students with repeated opportunities to practice every question type on the test. Students will learn strategies for breaking down complex word problems, identifying answer traps, and managing their time. With a lot of practice and skill-building, we help students learn how to approach this complicated exam and maximize their scores.
The spring semester of our comprehensive course includes 7 classes and 1 proctored practice test in June. In the fall students will continue with 6 classes and 2 proctored practice tests in August/September and October. The 3 full-length practice tests measure students’ progress. We will provide students with detailed score reports for each practice test, homework after each class, as well as a summer packet with extra practice and resources so that students may continue prep independently between the spring and fall semesters.

*There is no class scheduled on Saturday 5/24 and Monday 5/26 in observance of Memorial Day, during the DOE mid-winter recess of February 17-22 (M-Sat), during the DOE spring recess of April 14-18 (M-F), and on Monday 10/13 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
*The final Monday class will be 10/20.

If you notify us a month before the class begins, you can apply for a 100% credit on your account for a future registration, or a 75% refund.
If you notify us up to two weeks before the class begins, you may receive a 100% credit on your account for a future registration, or 50% refund.
Within two weeks before the class begins, we cannot make adjustments or offer credits.
